The reviews I read were mixed, but the hotel seems to have made many recent improvements. The lovely woman working the front desk was extremely professional and accommodated my check-in nearly an hours before the official posted time. They gave me a room on the ground level to accommodate my heavy baggage, as the elevator was being repaired. The room window looked out directly onto the SNCF train tracks -- but I never heard anything. There was a new soundproofing window installed over the old one, suggesting that they have made improvements in this regard. The design of the lobby was very cool, suitable for drinking and lounging, and also contains a hip brasserie. It was a 30 second walk from the front of the train station (Gare d'Avignon Centre -- not the Gate TGV)! and in that regard as convenient as could be.

The location of the hotel is just perfect (just in front of the railway station) What is REALLY EXCEPTIONNAL IS THE BREAKFAST : lots of choice, products of all sorts you can imagine. (sugared or salted products) HOME MADE Products, high quality ("Miel en rayon" just incredible !) All that for such a reasonable price. You can have breakfast, just coming in, and not necessarily using the hotel. That is good information for train travellers to appreciate a high-quality breakfast before travelling instead of getting things from automatic machines (not good and expensive) in the corridor of the railway station The people at reception were very welcoming, either in late evening or in the morning I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ALL TRAVELLERS

The hotel staff was very friendly. We only spent the night there, so we don't have any comments. The room key did not work, but this problem was also quickly resolved. The room was very clean. Free parking is a big plus. We also liked the breakfast at the hotel. We definitely recommend it.
